European Patent Attorney
Dr. Daniel Friese studied chemistry at the University of Bremen where he received his diploma in chemistry in 2007. For his PhD he moved to Ruhr-University in Bochum where he received his degree as Dr. rer. nat. in 2012. Between 2013 and 2019 he worked as a postdoc at Tromsø University and at Heinrich-Heine-University in Düsseldorf. His scientific focus was theoretical calculation of spectroscopic and especially non-linear optical and chiroptical molecular properties for the development of functional organic materials. Since 2019, Daniel has been a European Patent Attorney Trainee with CPW and he became a professional representative before the European Patent Office in 2023. His main working field with CPW are technical nonwovens.
In addition, Daniel works in training of European Patent Attorneys at the Center for international studies of intellectual property (CEIPI) at the University of Straßburg.
